Good, but brokenly hard at end.

The game has good graphic, good basis of gameplay, and a thorough upgrade system. However the later stages are ridiculously hard, and nekon attack levels are broken/unwinnable. I'm at level 18, and the boss there takes up half the screen and throws a ridiculous amount of firepower out, to the point where the whole bottom half is filled with bullets and the only choice is which you want to get hit by. In nekon attack, with the exception of the first few challenges, you can not win. I was able to go through a whole challenge killing every single ship thanks to spamming mega blast + bonus magnet and it still wasn't enough.

Yay, sequel!

You must be quite annoyed that this seems to be getting a lower score then your sprite version prequel of this game. The reason may be that although your graphics are better, with a few excpetions your gameplay is almost the same. Your combo system was better, but it was slightly more frustrating to play since you die a lot in this one, the koopas attack far too fast and you are often vulnerable after attacks. The best strategy quickly becomes apparent of mashing the quick attack button and leaves your hard worked on combo system with its more powerful attacks rather useless. Add some health pickups or equivalent to balance things out, or regenerate health after each screen like last time. It was also short, again.

Harder does not equal better.

This does not live up to the original at all, because Im afraid it seems user map creators were more interested in showing the size of their e-peen rather then making interesting maps. Making repetitive, pixel perfect, challenges is a hallmark of bad design so I won't be surprised if many of the users havn't made games themselves. There are some good and interesting levels, even some of the ones in the *really hard* category,("Rubber band" missles was interesting to see) but unfortunately there is too much crap in between.

Perfection...MORE!

After watching some of the best sprite films newgrounds has to offer,(including your before mentioned powerstar series) playing this certainly "feels like the movies". Your combo system was awesome and is really what made the game what it was. You also kept your usual high standard of sprite graphics and sound clips. This truly deserves to have a sequel with more levels and gameplay, this has so much potential.

good concept, needs balancing

Its ok for a quick game, the ammo counter was a good concept but you made it too annoying. You have to shoot near perfectly AND collect all the SMALL bits of ammo that pop out of the enemies. I found it more harder to keep my ammo supply up by not missing those damn squares and collecting every bit of ammo they dropped then actually avoiding the enemy. I speak only for myself, but I find games funner when the challenge is staying safe from the enemy rather then being too scared to shoot the enemy. You could make the game funner by increasing the amount of ammo dropped(tougher enemies drop more) and making it slightl easier to pick up(increase size of ammo or pickup radius of the ship.)

Control glitches

This would be an otherwise excellent game but there is a fatal, game ruining control glitch, which was also present in the first game. Sometimes when firing rapidly the game will glitch up and make it so that you can't fire anymore. I couldn't fire, switch weapons or reload. I was then quickly killed by zombies when I could no longer fire. This happened in both internet explorer and firefox, with the latest versions of flash.

Fun, but repetitive and unbalanced.

The game started off pretty fun, but there is some major balance issues between elite and horde troops due to the charge feature. In particular, the Trolls have a massive advantage whenever they get the chance to charge. If they charge with giant trolls it is impossible to beat them all(I was playing humans and the kings swordsmen aren't as elite as trolls) so you have no choice but to let a bunch go by. Something should be done about the charge option to make it worth charging with weaker troops, as it stands right now its just an abusive way to spam elite units.

Otherwise it was a decent game, the only other faults being the many times alredy mentioned repetive music and the fact that I was bored by the end of the campaign since it turns into a space bar hitting spamfest on a single upgraded type of unit.(I had upgraded to the nines swordsmen but spent money on hardly anything else besides getting the kings swordsmen for charge spamming purposes.)

You removed the game...

Need I say more? Don't tell me you actually got some sort of "cease and desist"?

Poor execution

Congratulations on learning actionscript. But you need to make better results then this. Little stickmen being killed does not really get the heart pumping. The vehicles and the backgrounds had decent graphic but besides that it wasn't very impressive. Also, you start with a world war II background but then throw in helicopters with rpg toting soldiers shooting you. Also, game difficulty was screwed. It's mostly too easy, but the said helicopters damage you before it is even physically possible to shoot them down. Players don't like impossible stuff. Even if enough healthpacks are around to keep you alive, it's frustrating to take automatic damage. Also, the music was...annoying...after a while and the sound effects were nothing new. Please work on these things so you dont release another "click and shoot" game where the only thing different is seeing your person on the screen.

good idea, but frustrating quirks ruin it.

I liked the reverse idea for this game and the graphics and sounds were decent. However you made Pacman AI perfect and "friendly" ai extremely stupid. It is impossible to kill pacman with one ghost, you have to trap him with two. However keeping two alive is nearly impossible since the one(s) you aren't directly controling have a tendancy to run towards Pacman whenever he gets the pill instead of away from him. Challenging games are fun, but the challenge should never come from an aspect that the player has no control over, in this case your suicidal ghosts.

Newgrounds sucks out a lot of my time, I'm glad my first flash went over as well as it did and I am slowly working on the sequel which will hopefully be better.
